’Anne Meinel, pronounced Kay-Anne My-Null (in Europe) and My-Nell (in America), is an American author born and raised in Wisconsin. She has also lived in central and southern California. Currently, she is traveling.
K'Anne professes to write books that she would like to read, and through her numerous novels, novellas, and short stories, she has grown into a writer who is willing to expand her horizons. She fearlessly steps out of her comfort zone to welcome the reader to savor the experiences of her life through her words as well as her fantasies, dreams, and imagineering.
Her first book SHIPS was written in 2003, but she re-wrote bits of it off and on for the next eight years. After finally deciding to self-publish SHIPS, she was approached by a publisher. Short stories joined her 'bill of fare' in 2011, purely as a personal mind exercise. 2011 was also the beginning of a series of books which all included Malice in their title. This deliciously gripping series leaves the reader suspended, starving, and craving more. Today, with over one hundred thirty titles to her credit (in English), K'Anne is truly an established author. She has also produced the books in audio and foreign languages, giving her a library of over 400 releases.

Several years ago, K’Anne created Shadoe Publishing to showcase her books under a publishing house since many outlets would not accept independently published books. Shadoe Publishing removed that hurdle and gave K’Anne an opportunity to utilize the business skills she had acquired over a thirty-year period while running companies for herself and others.
Over the years, under K’Anne’s guidance, Shadoe Publishing has grown and marketed and showcased other new and upcoming authors. Since its inception, Shadoe Publishing has helped more than two dozen authors publish a combined total of over two-hundred books. K’Anne decided after over a decade of doing this, to only showcase her own stories, having taught some of those same authors to self-publish..

It, however didn’t prove as successful as the Lesfic Bard Awards, and, after four years of attempting to establish it, she shut it down.
